Bathroom tiling is an important task, due to the high moisture levels that the tiles need to cope with. At Dave Finnigan Tiling, we’re experts in waterproofing and bathroom tiling, and we understand that getting the right tiles is vital. Bathroom waterproofing is serious business, so we make sure only to use top quality waterproofing systems. Whether you just want to re-tile the floors or completely renovate your bathroom, we can provide expert service from start to finish.
What we can help with
Porcelain tiles are made from porcelain clays and are fired in kilns at extremely high temperatures, which makes them extremely durable, dense and stronger than non-porcelain tiles.
Ceramic tiles come in many different colours and styles and suit a variety of decors. They are popular amongst clients due to stains/spill resistant properties. They are hygienic and can be cleaned easily.
TIMBER/WOOD LOOK TILES
The wood-grain tile look is becoming very popular at the moment due to their cost and durability especially for families with younger children as the tiles are hard wearing and resilient against high volumes of traffic through the home.
Mosaic tiles can add that little extra to your bathroom or kitchen and come in a range of different colours and styles. Most mosaic tiles can be made up of either glass or ceramic and have to be installed with a great amount of care.
SCREEDING AND WATERPROOFING
The preparation of your bathroom or kitchen area for tiling has to be done with a great deal of care. Screeding is done to create correct amount of fall in floor and waterproofing ensures your bathroom remains watertight.
To meet Australian construction standards, a flexible sealant to your floor and wall joints, tiled surfaces, bench tops, bath edges, splash backs and other joins has to be applied with great care and precision to wet areas.
